    A slice of NYC’s secret downtown speakeasy style has arrived in Manchester’s Northern Quarter in the form of the award winning Black Dog Ballroom. Offering gourmet burgers and pizzas, draught beers, cocktails, Djs, pool tables and a secret room, the stylish bar is open daily from Midday to 4am with food available ‘til 1am.

    The venue is to be found in the space underneath the iconic Affleck’s Palace, previously inhabited by Isobar and Club North. Expect a dramatic interior and award winning décor.

    With free WiFi, an extensive cocktail menu and food overseen by Anthony Fielden of The Northern Quarter restaurant the Black dog Ballroom is also available for private hire.

    ‘There was no doubt as to which bar should wand this title. Black Dog Ballroom has made a huge impact on the Northern Quarter’s and even the city social scene over the last 12 months following its launch in late 2009. Even though the bar opened in difficult economic times for the industry, it was and instant hit with a wide demographic of people due to its unique offering.

    Black Dog Ballroom breaks new ground on several fronts: it introduces the idea of late night pool playing to a cocktail bar/club environment: it’s the only bar in the district to have a 4am license every night of the week: and serves pizzas and burgers until 1am.
